Spread the Love!

Spread the Love!

Let’s celebrate love, kindness and lightness during the shortest month of the year!

A fancy « pommes d’amour » recipe, super easy to make and quite healthy and a selection from our store to share and spread the love!

L♡ve apples:
What is more exciting than creating such a symbolic treat at home! Super easy to make, the homemade caramelized apples are just a bit sweeter than basic apples.

Ingredients:

4 small apples (organic is better)
1 cup cane sugar or caster sugar (cane sugar gives a little more flavor)

1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice 1 glass of water

1 teaspoon of red food colouring (you have an organic alternative with beetroot powder if you prefer)

4 wooden sticks

Method:

Put the sugar, lemon juice and water in a saucepan and slowly bring to a boil. It takes about 5-7 minutes. Reduce the heat and wait until the caramel bubbles. Take a little bit of caramel with a spoon and drop it on a plate. If it hardens quickly, remove the pan from the fire and add the food coloring.

Remove the tails from the apples and place the wooden sticks. They will help you hold the apples.

Put each apple in the saucepan with the red caramel and cover all the apple. Place the apples in a pretty dish to make them look even prettier!

Wait 1h until the caramel hardens and eat them raw! They look pretty sweet but in fact the apples are raw and this is a rather healthy homemade snack for Valentine’s day!
