Maillo

From her family legacy to her textile design studies in Paris and India, Véronique Damart has always been playing with all kind of fabrics.

After working for prestigious brands -Christian Lacroix, Isabel Marant, Missoni, Kenzo to name a few- and in the children's fashion industry, when she became a mother she decided to create a laboratory of textile and poetic objects and launched her own company, “MaillO”. In French, this is the contraction of “Maille” (Mesh) and “Vero”, her nickname.

Véronique loves playing with material and colors and is attracted by knitting, crochet, macrame or weaving.
She finds old vintage textile pieces and loves to divert and modernize them, using them to create new objects, such as balloons, baskets, bottles, refined poetical pieces beautiful in any living room or bedroom. She explains ”every find turns into a unique piece, colored by a new story".

She regularly collaborates with brands across the world, on their visual merchandising, windows or set designs.

Her approach is very artisanal and her production is quite small: Belle Vie is very proud to be able to offer you those “one-of-a-kind pieces”, all designed in Veronique atelier in the North West of France.
