It's hard to believe that our boutique has just turned 2!
To celebrate this milestone and thank you for being part of this wonderful journey, we have imagined a capsule collection with Anne, the founder and stylist of 'Bonjour', a brand we love.
Just a couple of styles, your favorite ones, reinvented in a very special and unique fabric, called Khadi.
This is a traditional Indian technique, passed on from generation to generation, of spinning and dyeing yarn by hand, after weaving the fabric on wood traditional handlooms.
Since the beginning, we have always selected brands and styles created and produced with a slow fashion mindset, and with respect and love of people, crafts and know-how. Choosing this fabric was the perfect illustration of what we value.
About the gingham (we say "Vichy" in French): when Anne shared with me those 2 stunning rose and blue patterns, I fell in love with them instantly! I am a long time big fan of gingham and I love how this exclusive capsule fabric is twisted and slightly different from the traditional gingham.
I met the Parisian photographer Emilie Roncal in San Francisco, on a sunny Autumn day in one of my favorite areas of the city, Outer Sunset, on the edge of the Pacific Ocean.
This is where we did the photoshoot of the capsule, in the very first motel of the city, opened in 1937, the same year as the Golden Gate Bridge.
The Art deco atmosphere suits perfectly to the retro silhouettes of the collection and we can easily imagine that the two friends will soon go to the nearby Ocean Beach, attracted by the breeze sweeping through the old windows and making their blouses dance.
This capsule collection has been designed for you and we hope you'll like it as much as we do!
