Banjo Recital Print
$20
Emily Winfield Martin does amazing paintings and we're excited to have a few of them as prints.
She says about this portrait, “I created this image after I got a bee in my bonnet about the notion of a girl playing the banjo in the middle of the woods. A stag, bear, fox, rabbit, squirrel and owl are gathered 'round to hear her song.
"The whole time I was working on this painting, I kept thinking she was singing/playing them the Burl Ives song Buckeye Jim. I feel almost certain that's what she's playing, there among the animals and the lily-of-the-valley.”
Expertly printed with an 11-ink fade-resistant color process on a smooth, enhanced archival matte paper creating rich blacks and vibrant colors by the Land Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
