A flan for comfort

April is such an unpredictable month weather speaking. All is greening and blooming everywhere but it can still be cold and chilly. Rainy days or idle weekends call for the simplest yet comforting recipes.

If you try to dye eggs as explained in the previous article, you will have plenty of eggs to use!

Why not trying this super simple and delicious flan, a sweet childhood memory to pass on to your children?

 

 

You need:

-6 eggs

-1 liter milk

-1 cup (200g) sugar

-1 vanilla pod split lengthwise

-Ready to use liquid caramel

-Lemon zest (optional)

 


 

Method :
Preheat the oven to 302 ° F or 150° Celsius.

Put the caramel at the bottom of a flan pan and let cool in the fridge. In a saucepan, slowly bring to a boil the milk and the vanilla.

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until foamy. Add the milk vanilla mixture to the eggs and sugar. You can add the lemon zest if you want.

Pour all the mixture in the flan pan. Fill a big dish with boiling water and put the flan pan in the bain marie. Cook in the oven for 35 min.

  

 

Delicious lukewarm or at room temperature
