Shirley Poppy Print
Emily Winfield Martin does amazing paintings, and we're excited to have a few of them as prints.
She says about this portrait, “My very favorite poppy! Achingly lovely and fleeting (the blooms only live for a day or two) these wildflowers bloom on thin, wiry necks in all sorts of shades of red and pink.”
Part of Emily's Flower Girls series.
“These paintings hope to capture the elegance and liveliness of blooming things. They are inspired by my own garden and portraits from the 1930's and 1940's, as each variety of flower is "embodied" by a girl or lady, sitting for their portrait.”
